Here is a pull down all of the publicly available years for the Best American Poetry Awards. Our methodology was, simply, one vote per poem in the anthology per journal. This isn’t the most rigorous of methods, but the rankings included on the individual journals, such as everything highlighted on Slant Rhyme, are just another factor for students to use when determining where to submit and in what order.
Don’t read a ton into a journal that has many or has few. In our opinion, Pushcart is a more useful signal.
