Pushcart Prize for Poetry Rankings

What we have below is a five year view of Pushcart Prize for Poetry Rankings using Clifford Garstang’s Pushcart ranking system in line with their average over that five years. What does that mean? This is just an easier way to see if a journal is trending up/down over the last six years and if the last year or so has been better or worse than their rolling average.

We have taken the average Pushcart Poetry Prize Rankings, which you can see on the far right, and included that number on the journal’s page. When you click into a specific journal, that number comes with it. Not a perfect system, but just a way to keep scores in front of you wherever you roam across the site. Smaller numbers are better. Less is more.

As we mention all over the site, only the journals that are linked from this grid are:

  • currently open
  • accept simultaneous submissions
  • accept digital submissions
  • respond with rejections

If you find something that doesn’t fit with the above, please send us a note so that we can correct. We are trying to create a transactional tool for submissions. The tighter we can edit this down, the better we will all be for it.
